The Kinnow is a high return mandarin cross breed developed broadly in the more extensive Punjab district of India and Pakistan. It is a crossover of two citrus cultivars — 'Lord' (Citrus nobilis) × 'Willow Leaf' (Citrus × deliciosa) — first created by Howard B. Ice, at the College of California Citrus Examination Station.
