Amrapali mango is a named mango assortment presented in 1971. It was created as a hybrid variety of 'Dussehri' and 'Neelam' by Dr. Piyush Kanti Majumdar at the Indian Rural Exploration Foundation, Delhi. From that point forward this mango began being brought to ranches and plants all over India. Amrapali mango was first planted in Chakda in Nadia area in West Bengal. Dr. Piyush Kanti Majumdar gave the seeds.
